A newly established infrastructure arm of Andrew Tan’s Alliance Global Group Inc. the INFRACORP Development Inc. has come up with a promising proposal to help ease metro traffic. A monorail that will connect Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to Edsa-Guadalupe.
Tan’s newly formed unit wants to build a 2 kilometer “Skytrain” that will connect Megaworld’s Uptown Bonifacio with the MRT Guadalupe Station at no cost to the government.
The project has a modern automated cable-propelled monorail technology and will benefit the 60,000 to 100,000 commuting public daily. Likewise, it will lessen the travel time from Fort Bonifacio to MRT Guadalupe to five minutes.
Kevin Tan, executive director of AGI and the appointed president of Infracorp said, “Given the country’s strong and stable economy, we see a huge opportunity to invest in infrastructure. We are excited to participate and optimistic about the government’s aggressive push for infrastructure developments.”
“For now we cannot disclose the exact amount of the investment yet until the government gives us the go signal to proceed and funding of the project will be internally-generated as part of AGI’s existing CAPEX program,” Tan added. -CJ, Estrella
