PH Embassy, Moscow – Largest arms manufacturer in Russia has briefed the Philippine Embassy in Moscow on its different assault rifles amid President Rodrigo Duterte’s pronouncement that the nation’s police force could look to Russia and China for weapons suppliers.
When President Duterte was asked about the cancelled rifle deals with U.S., “Susmaryosep! Is that all?” the President told reporters after visiting the tombs of his parents in Davao City on Tuesday night.
“Is that all they can say to threaten me? That they will not sell firearms to us? We have many air rifles here,” he said in jest.
DFA media release on Tuesday said manufacturer Concern Kalashnikov showed how AK 47 assault rifles has changed and how its improved model “could match and exceed the specifications of its competitors.”
