When it comes to transportation, Philippines comes a little behind if compared to other Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. But through a Public-Private Partnership Program with a Chinese company, a high speed train system may be coming soon in the Philippines.bullet8

According to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman Martin Diño, the bullet train is going to be constructed between Clark in Pampanga and Subic in Zambales. And he also stated that this project will be discussed by President Duterte during his visitation in China on October 18-21.

“It is our first bullet train. Hopefully, magawa agad (to be done soon),” Diño added.bullet2

Bullet trains are known to run at speeds of 200 to 300 kilometer per hour, and will provide a great value when it comes to time consumption for it will cut lot of time when traveling from Subic to Clark and vice versa.

  1. I rode those high speed rails when I went on a tour in China, and they’re simply the best. I hope we could have our own high speed rail by 2018. More power, Mr. President! 🙂

  2. “Bullet trains are known to run at speeds of 200 to 300 kilometer per hour” Mr. Dino, Clark to subic is only 77 Kilometers a less than an hour fast travel via SCTEX. Ngayon maglalagay ka ng bullet train in such a short distance?

    • Correct ! A bullet train linking Manila and Clark airports would be more practical .Clark complex is dying. All the duty free stores are not maintained and not much activity. The SM is more vibrant in Angeles City and that is where the crowd go.

  3. Learn from the Singaporeans. They returned 26 of the 35 railway cars they bought from China. They all had cracks their chassis. They bought from Japan instead.

  4. If these train system with china made cars is gonna go thru …I’m going to put up a good business…a Funeral parlor…
