Duterte bags two more patrol ships from Japan despite insult remark with Obama.
In a bilateral meeting before the the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit start on Tuesday, September 6. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe decided to provide two more patrol ships for the Philippines. This is to effectively monitor the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone (EZZ) in the West Philippine Sea.
The two nations will continue working closely to Strengthened Strategic Partnership and its Action Plan for the South China Sea issue.
