The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has asked the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to mete appropriate sanctions against the driver and operator of a Joanna Jesh bus that rammed through the plastic barriers along the southbound portion of EDSA on Monday.
According to reports, the Joanna Jesh bus with license plate TYR-744 was cruising along the southbound lane of EDSA and hit a row of plastic barriers. MMDA officials managed to stop the bus and kept the driver from leaving the scene.
The video of the incident was captured via a dashcam by a certain Ian Santos and was posted online.
Santos said that two buses were racing in the bus lane when the Joana Jesh bus suddenly hit the plastic barriers.
“To make it worse, the bus makes no effort to stop until forced to, a few hundred meters down the road. Luckily, no vehicles were damaged, no person was hurt, and no further accidents were caused by these idiotic drivers racing each other,” Santos said.
Since posting the video have been liked more than 28,000 times and shared more than 30,000 times since it was posted on Monday.
