Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago in her speech at the University of the Philippines in October, vowed to have a strong anti-corruption campaign once elected.
“Do you want a clean government? Do you want a courageous government? Do you want a government of, by and for academic excellence?” Santiago said, who is answered by a resounding “yes” by her supporters.
