The first subway project in Metro Manila to be OK by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) soon. Manila’s first subway will run from Market Market and St. Luke’s hospital in The Fort to the EDSA-MRT stations on Buendia and Ayala all the way to Ayala Triangle, the Makati post office and the PNR station on Buendia, then to the LRT-1 station on Buendia and Taft, then across Roxas Boulevard to the World Trade Center and SM Mall of Asia, then back to the EDSA-MRT station on Taft. This project will lessen the traffic by 45% but not when it is being constructed and it will last up to 5 to 6 years to finish.
Considering the places where the line is passing, this kind of railway system is more expensive than those elevated we currently have. The estimated cost for the entire stretch is P374Billion Pesos. With a total of 12 kilometer of railway from Fort Bonifacio to Makati to SM Mall of Asia, this is the government’s biggest PPP project with the cooperation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This project will surely to kick in very soon.
Brod lupa yan, alam mo ba ung tunnel na nagdudugtong sa france at england? Sa ilalim ng sea bed yun. Sa technology na meron ngayon ang sangkatauhan di na imposible yan. Imagine kung kailan pa sinimulan yung project na yun, it was 1988 at natapos ng 1994 what more ngayong 2015. Wag maging hopeless hayaan natin ang gobyerno na gampanan ang tungkulin nila (kung meron man).
If there is a problem there is a solution. We have to set our mind in a wider perspective in order to adopt to new and modern transport system. If we consider flooding in MM a no solution then we will ended nothing.
