A military strategy to contain China’s aggressive moves and rising presence in the region pushed the United States Pacific Command to place its lethal naval assets and positioned more than 1,500 Elite Special Forces troops in the Asia Pacific region, a report from Beijing-based Sina Military Network.
Recent national military tactics issued in February made it clear that the United States will remain vigilant and will always be a strong Pacific nation, adding that Washington has been active in building tougher ties with Japan, South Korea, Australia and the Philippines.
United States reveal its military assets and manpower in the region that now there are currently around 360,000 American troops in the Asia Pacific, a number that will likely increase as the Pentagon plans to station more than 60% of US Navy and Air Force vessels and aircraft to the region.
