A prominent team of Chinese business tycoons headed by Chu Liam Tao has also expressed its intention to host the eagerly anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Offer $160 million dollars to Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight Manny Paquiao in Beijing China.
Chinese tycoon Chu said, “Our offer is more than the amount previously offered by a Dubai group and we want this much awaited mega fight to happen in Beijing China. We think this amount is enough to convince Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight Manny Pacquiao outside of his country.”
“Our team is on its way to set and have a meeting with the Floyd’s group “The Money Team”. We only want to clarify Mr. Mayweather approval regarding our proposals and fight venue. But for the schedule date of the fight, it’s up to him if he wants May 2, 2015, well go for it”,
“For now we just wait the result of our negotiating team”, Chinese tycoon Chu added.
The $160 million is the largest payday for an individual for a single event in the history of sports. This dwarfs by far any amount an individual in the richest sports — football, baseball, billiards, basketball, soccer, tennis golf and Formula 1 racing.
