Armed Forces of the Philippines is now in the process of acquiring sets of anti air mobile missile batteries with fire control radars and tracking devices and also laser guided shoulder fired surface to air missile.
“These weapons will be placed in strategic locations in major islands of the country, a ranking defense official, who requested anonymity, said,” as reported by government-run news agency.
“We definitely need this weapons as soon as possible, It will help and strengthen our territory against aerial attack” defense official said.
The official added that the position of missile batteries will be changed “once in a while to prevent possible adversaries from gaining a fix on their locations.”
