Floyd Mayweather Jr. Finally spoken, he said “I already agreed to fight Manny Pacquiao next year May 2, 2015”. But  he has not specified where the fight would take place, he did make sure that it would be broadcasted on Showtime pay-per-view and not by HBO Boxing and Top Rank of  Bob Arum.

Breaking a long silence, the undefeated American champion said he is willing to fight Manny Pacquiao next year, calling out the Filipino in a television interview by saying, “Let’s make the fight happen.”

Floyd said “we have been trying to make this fight happen for years now, but the fans and the people have been fooled. They have been listening to people just only on one side.”

“I’m not ducking or dodging any opponent,”  “I’ve been wanting that fight a long time ago. I’ve been waiting on them but Bob Arum is stopping the fight ,” Mayweather continued.

Mayweather added as he accused Arum and Pacquiao of  fooling the public into believing that it was he who was dodging the fight.

“We tried years ago to make the fight happen, we wanted random blood testing and everything. Like I said, I just want an even playing field,” he told Showtime commentator Steve Farhood. “Now he’s in a very, very tight situation. He’s lost to (Juan Manuel) Marquez, he’s lost to (Timothy) Bradley, pay-per-view numbers are down, extremely low, so he’s desperate.”

Floyd said “I offered Pacquiao $40 million, but Pacquiao turned down so  this time the undefeated fighter says the said amount will no longer be on the table.

“You lost twice, now you’re coming back begging for the same money. That’s not gonna happen. “Let’s make this fight happen for the people, for the fans.” Mayweather said.

Floyd Mayweather has been criticized for the past years for allegedly “ducking” Pacquiao through the numerous reasons he has laid out over the course of the negotiations. However, he clarified that he was not avoiding anyone, while once again placing the blame entirely on Top Rank Promotions chief Bob Arum.
